Welcome to Vipers Media. Although our name suggests that we are Mincoffs Vipers photographers that is only part of the overall picture and indicates our roots in the sports photography world. Vipers Media brings together two accomplished photographers who have been hockey fans for years, Darren Blackman & Colin Lawson.

In recent years we have provided images to both local and National press and are not only the Mincoffs Vipers official photographers, but are Elite League accredited having covered the last 3 Elite Play Off finals. We have also provided images for the World University Games in Turin, the EIHA Schools of Excellence and are the official England Under 19’s photographers.

This year, 2008, we undertook the massive task of the EIHA Inter Conference Finals Official photographers, taking in excess of 23,000 images over the 3 days.

Why are photographs better than ink pictures ?
The image is embedded in real photographic paper under the glossy surface, this makes it impervious to fingerprints and liquids. Real photographs have a long life and can be handled many times without damage, and our prices are cheaper than home produced ink prints on photo-type paper


If you have any special request, prior to placing your order, such as wanting the image cropped or even a stray stick removed, please contact us via email at: Vipers Media stating the gallery name and image number together with what you require and if it can be done, it will. You will receive an Email from us informing you that the altered image has been uploaded for you to view, with no obligation to order.

We currently use SmugMug for our Internet printing service. They are one of the world leaders in this market however are based in the US. Please do not be alarmed at the prices when you get through to the checkout, where it is calculated in US $ and not UK £’s and is worked out at the variable exchange rate.
